Self Defense Clinics

CORE Fitness strives to give our clients confidence and strength in their daily lives.  Self-defense skills are commonly overlooked even though they can potentially save your life.

Join CORE Fitness in our self-defense clinic taught by Johanna Parcher, a second-degree Taekwondo black belt. CORE Fitness now offers this course for adults and children (ages 5 to 14).  Whether you are an adult concerned about your personal safety, or your children's, this class offers benefits for everyone. 

In the adult 90-minute session you will learn how to: 

 

  • Reduce your risk of becoming an assault victim
  • Increase your confidence
  • Sharpen your peripheral awareness
  • Learn to defend yourself in dangerous situations

 

 

In the child "Stranger Danger" 90-minute session you will learn how to: 

 

  • Be aware of "Stranger Danger"  
  • Differentiate between "good" and "bad" people 
  • Identify dangerous situations 
  • Protect yourself when a stranger approaches you or someone tries to abduct you 

 

 

 

There are cruel people in this world, and we must teach ourselves and our children to be prepared if a dangerous situation occurs.  Knowing what to do could mean life or death.

Clinic Details

Adult Class (Age 15 and up): 

 

Saturday, November 5, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

"Stranger Danger" Class (Age 5 to 14): 

Saturday, November 12, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

 

Cost: $45 

*Anyone under the age of 17 must have a parent or guardian present.
