Rehabilitation

At CORE Fitness, our rehabilitation goal is to help a client achieve independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and leisure activities by providing range of motion, strengthening, and functional training following a course of physical therapy.

The typical post-rehab client has residual deficits in joint stability, flexibility, coordination, endurance, proprioception, muscle fiber recruitment, and strength. Even so, he or she should be medically stable to begin an exercise program. It is important to think of the transition from therapy to fitness as a carefully planned event.

We will develop, supervise and modify the conditioning programs for a client while working within the post-rehab protocols and guidelines established by the client's physician and/or physical therapist.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, your personal trainer must be able to communicate effectively with your physicians and/or therapists. The CORE Fitness staff has the credentials, professional skills, and expertise necessary to interact with your medical team to guide your body from pain and injury toward recovery and pain-free good health.

At CORE Fitness, your personal health and fitness program will include rehabilitative exercises that we select and customize to meet your needs and goals.

CORE Fitness works closely in association with The Physical Therapy Connection, a comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation center directed by Kim Dare, PT, Cert. MDT. Patients completing rehabilitation services at The Physical Therapy Connection find it convenient to continue their post-rehab programs at CORE Fitness under the direction of our qualified trainers. We also work closely with all the physical therapy/rehabilitative companies and physician specialists in our area.
