WHAT IS RELAXATION MASSAGE?
This style of massage is characterized by smooth and flowing strokes that promote general relaxation, improves circulation, range of movement, and relieves muscular tension. The human musculature tightens due to stress and negativity until our brain tells the muscles to release. When our muscles remain tightened they deprive the body of vital energy flow. In addition, our body has its own memory, often storing negative events in the form of muscle tightness and energy imbalances. Relaxation Massage releases this "emotional armor," bringing about the peace and serenity so many of us seek.
WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE?
Massage Therapy is recognized as one of the oldest methods of healing, with textual references nearly 4,000 years old. In fact, this form of massage is tailored to those with pain, injuries and recent surgeries. Massage therapy includes Deep Tissue Massage, Myofacial Release, Stone Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy. These are mainly the application of various techniques to the muscular structure and soft issues of the body that include fixed or movable pressure, holding, vibration, rocking, friction, kneading, and compression. All of the techniques are used for the benefit of the musculoskeletal, circulatory and other systems of the body.
